Finally a way to get your blonde right!
This toner is the best I've found for getting rid of all traces of brassiness or yellow in bleached hair. If you follow the directions (bleach with 30 or 40 volume first to lift all traces of your natural color then "paint" on, and watch the color transformation closely), you too can have a beautiful head of platinum, snowy blonde hair that is NOT fried or dried out. I love how my haircolor looks now. Stunning!!

Works for Me
My natural hair color is that ugly grey color. I like to wear a flat top. So, every time I get my hair cut, I bleach my hair, then use Manic Panic Virgin Snow to get a white color. It's not Anderson Cooper silver, but it's close and I'm happy with it. I plan to keep using it.

Worked well for me
After bleaching my dark brown hair three times and then applying the Virgin Snow toner, my hair is now snowy white. From the other reviews apparently it doesn't work for everyone. My only advice is that your hair has to be very light platinum-blond before you apply. You may need to bleach your hair more than 3 times. Going from brown to white hair is a slow process. You'll be stuck with orange or bright yellow hair for a few months at least. You may want to go with a 40 developer or even invest in going to a salon to do it for you. Just keep bleaching and applying the toner until your desired color is achieved. You should expect your hair to get really damaged in the process. White hair is not for the faint of heart! This is an awesome product though. The best purple toner out there.

great toner
My Clairol toner was discontinued so I tried this out as the second part of my 2 step processing. After 60 minutes of bleaching my hair was still yellow as usual, but after a 10 minute application of brass banisher the yellow had turned into a nice, slightly beige, pale blond. highly recommended.

Good product for the price
I have medium/dark brown hair (straight, shoulder-length, fine). I get approximately half a head of highlights every 10 weeks. I used to go to a really nice salon and they used a good toner after they took out my foils. I've been trying to save $ so I get my highlights done at a cheaper place. They don't use toner (unless you ask and pay extra). Some of my highlights looked really brassy when I got them done 3 weeks ago. I saw this product and figured I might as well give it a try. DON'T GO BY THE PICK ON THE BOX. There's no ammonia in this product (or peroxide) so it won't lighten your hair. It may have darkened the highlights a little (that's what salon toner does too and it fades out over 6 weeks). What I wanted was a little less brassiness and for my natural color to blend better with the highlights. Obviously getting my hair glazed at the salon looks better (costs like $40 though). For $8.50, this was pretty good.

I am glad I found this!
Initially I was disappointed with this product - after my hair dried post treatment, it was still brassy and I saw little change. But after a day, the brassiness was much reduced and now there is only a slight reddish tinge. I have been battling brassiness through expensive shampoos, washing my hair in cold water, and have been considering buying a shower filter treatment. However, I am glad I found this product. It is certainly worth the money and does a good job toning down the brass.

FANTASTIC product! If you know how to use!
I found the key to this products success is lighten, lighten, and lighten! :) USE FIRST: the Jerome Russell's highlighting kit! Follow the directions on the back of the container~ shampoo and dry DO NOT condition! Once you slather your hair with the Platinum Blonde (I put a plastic bag over and tied in back for approximately 30 min!) This intensifies the process! If you feel any burning or anything uncomfortable however, STOP and rinse out! Your end result will be a fine, silvery light blonde! BEAUTIFUL shade!

Not Really Platinum...
I had bleached my hair and was going for the whitest shade of platinum I could achieve. All the reviews I'd read online about this product indicated it would take out that "brassy" tone in bleached blondes and give me that shiny, white blonde I wanted. Didn't happen... instead I got an interesting shade of lavender, which is great if that was what I wanted... yes, I admit it removed the brassiness; but it replaced the gold color with translucent purple! It didn't take long to make my hair purple, either, as I left the product on for less than 5 minutes. It was an interesting look, and fortunately, it does wash out over time. So, bottom line, not quite a platinum toner, but great for black lights and clubbing!! lol!!

My Favorite Toner
I love Wella's White Lady toner. My natural hair is almost black and I bleach it a few times to a yellow. This blue/ violet toner counteracts the yellow and produces a lovely platinum color. I also use this as a refresher when my color has faded.

Works EXACTLY like it says it will.
I'm obsessed with this toner! The only reason *I can think of* that this isn't working for people is because their hair a) isn't lightened to a pale yellow and/or b) it's being used with something other than a 20 volume peroxide. It isn't going to lighten hair, just TONE it.Also, if you have orange tints to your hair and you're not wanting to bleach it anymore I highly recommend you get the silver lady toner because it has more of a blue base so it'll counteract that. This is purple and will only work it's magic on the yellow. (:

T18 White Lady
I've used Wella White Lady for several years. My natural color is dark blonde. Even though White Lady is applied with developer, my dark blonde hair requires additional stripping. I have always used the Wella Wellite Creme Lightener with oil for the first step. Next day I apply White Lady. It is exactly the color I want and looks best on me.Wella has redesigned the liquid toner boxes and changed the name of White Lady. It still has product number T18 but the box shows "lightest ash blonde."

A Powerful yet Gentle Developer
I dye my hair white blonde, which if done wrong, can only spell disaster. I have been using Pure White for the past 2 years and I cannot express how great it is. It never burns my scalp, but if its winter and your hands are dry I would use gloves. I have a light brown base hair color, so I only need the 30 volume for the beaching. If you are toning I would start with only the 20 volume, it does the job in a gentle way. If you have dark hair I would really try the 40 volume. Either way I have very long and soft white hair and Pure White helps me get it.

Adding streaks or all over color..super easy!
I use this with Basic White for streaks in my own dark brown hair. I mix it to a paste texture, add one streak at a time, cover in foil and let stand for an hour. Then I wash it out. I also use this on my niece who has blone hair that has been dyed red! It works GREAT. My aunt uses this to dye her hair white, but she leaves it on much longer.If you want to dye your hair at home, I can't imagine much that is easier or better to use. Try half an hour the first time, then work your way up to desired lightness.

Great Product
I used this with L'Oreal Clear Blue bleach and the hair come out awesome. I used it on weave. I bought hair that was dark blond/auburn and wanted to dye the hair pink and blue so I used this product. I left it on for about an hour and ten minutes and the dark blond was a platinum blond when I washed it out. It did not break off the hair and I loved the fact that it did not dry it out. Awesome product and I will continue to buy!
